Rebecca is an ASHA-certified speech-language pathologist and founder of North Oakland Speech Services. Rebecca earned her Bachelor's degree in Linguistics from Oakland University and her Master's of Arts from Wayne State University in Speech-Language Pathology. Rebecca's background consists of experience with both the pediatric and adult populations. She has worked in a variety of settings including hospitals, rehabilitation centers, home care, private clinics as well as providing speech therapy services to local ABA centers. She specializes in Autism, Oral-Motor Speech Disorders, Apraxia of Speech, Augmentative/Alternative Communication and Receptive/Expressive Language Disorders. Rebecca is certified in VitalSitm, Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT), Natural Language Acquisition and Language Acquisition Motor Planning (LAMP).
Rebecca's passion and commitment to patients' progress and growth in addition to family education are what make her stand out as a speech-language pathologist. She takes a patient-centered approach and treats each patient according to individual needs.
In her free time Rebecca enjoys spending time with her husband and four children. She loves reading, traveling, fitness and continuing to educate herself in the field of speech therapy.
